Staff texting terms

Updated 2026-09-18

These terms describe the optional staff text messaging program operated by El Barrio Burritos.

What we send

Staff who opt in may receive schedules, shift changes and work-related notes from El Barrio Burritos, including individual SMS and shared group MMS messages. Message frequency varies with schedules and workplace activity.

Your choice

Texts are optional. You can choose app notifications instead. To opt in, sign in to the staff app, enter your mobile number, select Text notifications and confirm your choice. Simply entering a phone number does not opt you in. Email and calls are separate from text-message permission.

Message costs

Message and data rates may apply under your mobile plan. El Barrio Burritos does not charge a separate subscription fee for staff texts.

Stop messages or get help

Reply STOP to stop messages from the staff messaging number. Reply START to opt back in, or HELP for assistance. You can also turn texts off in the schedule settings. For help, contact your manager or use the phone number below.

Shared group conversations

People in a shared text group can see one another’s phone numbers and replies. App replies may appear from the business number with the employee’s name. STOP stops messages sent by the business number; it cannot prevent other participants from texting you directly. Ask your manager if you prefer private communication.

Delivery

Text delivery depends on your carrier and device and may be delayed or fail. Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Check the staff app for the current schedule; contact your manager directly about urgent changes.

Contact

For staff messaging or privacy questions, contact your manager at El Barrio Burritos or call 718-576-6611.
